Privacy Policy
Noonmark is an astrology app. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it is kept, and the one case in which anything leaves your phone.
The short version
- Your birth details and everything the app calculates from them stay on your phone.
- There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no in-app purchases.
- The app sends something over the internet only when you report a text yourself. A report contains no personal details.
Information kept on your phone
To draw your chart and forecasts, you enter a name and your date, time and place of birth. The app also keeps your settings (language, house system, notification time) and what it has prepared for you, such as daily forecasts and tarot draws.
All of this is stored only on your phone. We cannot see it and it is never sent to us or to anyone else. Place search works from a database built into the app, so looking up your birthplace does not use the internet.
You can delete this information at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in your phone's settings.
Reporting a text
Under each text there is a “Report this text” line. If you use it and tap Send, the app sends a single report to us so we can fix the text. The report contains:
- an identifier of the text you reported (which text and which variant);
- the app's language, version and platform (Android or iOS);
- the reason you chose and the comment you wrote, if you added them (up to 500 characters).
The report contains no name, no birth details, no location, no contact details and no device or advertising identifier, and it is not linked to you or to your other reports. Please do not write personal information in the comment.
Reports are received through PostHog, an analytics service. Data is stored on PostHog's servers in the European Union. PostHog receives your device's IP address as part of the internet connection; we configure PostHog not to store it. Reports are kept for up to one year and then deleted.
If a report cannot be sent (for example, without an internet connection), it is discarded and not sent later.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily notification, the app schedules it on your phone. Notifications are created locally; no server is involved.
Saving and sharing images
If you save or share a card, the app creates the image on your phone and hands it to your gallery or to the app you choose. What happens next is governed by that app's own policy.
Permissions
- Notifications — to show the daily notification you turned on.
- Storage (Android 9 and older) or Add to Photos (iOS) — only to save a card image to your gallery, when you ask for it. The app cannot read your photos.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera or microphone.
Children
Noonmark is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The app collects no personal information from anyone.
Your rights
Because we do not hold any personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Reports cannot be linked back to you. If you have questions, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version at getnoonmark.app/privacy and in the app.
